From risk identification to a self-sustaining model of quality.
Objectives
The EQUAL Health project aims to establish a framework for equitable, cost-effective, and location-independent hybrid training in primary healthcare. It focuses on strengthening risk identification, developing standardized clinical protocols, and designing simulation-based training for healthcare professionals. A key objective is to train instructors in risk assessment, intervention training design, and continuous quality improvement — using triage as a central case study. Trained educators then apply these competencies to improve training quality and healthcare standards within their institutions and beyond.
Implementation
The project develops a risk-based quality assurance model for primary care, integrating risk assessment, learning needs analysis, and simulation-based education design. Healthcare professionals from Slovenia, North Macedonia and Turkey participate in structured training programmes, workshops and e-learning activities focused on quality improvement principles.
